Terry graduated from Washburn Rural High School in 1974 and attended Washburn University. She worked for Conway Human Development Center from 1993-2000 and later worked for TECH as the Director of Health, retiring in 2016. On March 28, 2000, Terry married Thomas Mack Jr. in Conway, Arkansas. She was a member of the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church and Ruth Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, Chapter #48.
She was preceded in death by her parents L.D. and Bonnie Strickland.
Terry is survived by her husband, Thomas Mack Jr.; a daughter, Michelle (Dewey) Carter; grandchildren, Michael Gast and Autumn McCown; step son, Stacy Mack; step grandchildren, Eriq Carter, Dakota Carter and Aniya Craig; great grandchildren, Anistyn Gast, Aaliah Masters and Allyson Gast; brothers-in-law, Anthony (Jeraldine) Mack and Julius R. Simmons; nieces, Simone (Ebony) Mack-Orr and Monica (Chad) Mack Thompson; great nephews, Simeon Isaiah Mack-Orr and Jaxon Nash Thompson; and nieces, Emory Drew Mack-Orr and Charli Blu Thompson
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave., Hutchinson, KS. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at the chapel. The burial will take place at the Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson, KS. Memorials may be given to the TECH and can be sent in care to Hutchinson Funeral Chapel.
