Terry L. Morgan

1942 - 2026

Terry Lee Morgan, 83 of Aitkin died Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at Rivers Edge Assisted Living in Aitkin. He was born May 24, 1942 in Aitkin the son of Leo and Florence (Leikaff) Morgan. He grew up in Aitkin and graduated from Aitkin High School. Terry was united in marriage to Nancy K. Franz on March 3, 1970. He was a Minnesota National Guard Veteran, serving over 36 year. He was an autobody repair man for 50 years, working for Aitkin Body Shop, retiring in 2015. He enjoyed tinkering with automobiles, hunting, fishing and trapping. He was a member of Aitkin American Legion Lee Post #86 and the Aitkin Color Guard. He supported the Wounded Warriors Project, the Persian Gulf Support Group and the NRA. Terry was at every veteran's funeral, parades and every Aitkin High School home sporting event. He was so proud of being in the color guard and serving our country. When you visited him he wanted you to salute the flag that was in his room so whenever you see an American Flag, salute and remember Terry Morgan.

He was preceded in death by his parent Leo and Florence Morgan and brother Pat Morgan. Terry is survived by his wife Nancy; Sons and daughters-in-law: Greg (Denise) Morgan, Loren (Melissa) Morgan of Leander, TX. and Paul Morgan of Aitkin; Daughter Julie Morgan of Grand Rapids; 8 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; 1 great-grandson on the way; And many other special friends and relatives who mourn his passing.

A gathering of family and friends held 10am to 12pm with a service by the Aitkin Color Guard at 11:30am - Monday, January 12, 2026 at Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home in Aitkin.
