Funeral services for Terry Jean Morris of Butler, Missouri will be 10 a.m. Friday, June 16, 2023 at Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel (660-679-6555) in Butler, Missouri. Visitation prior to services 9 - 10 a.m. Friday at the Schowengerdt Chapel. Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, Butler. Contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the American Cancer Society. Terry Jean Morris, age 70 of Butler, Missouri died Thursday, June 1, 2023 at Medicalodge of Butler. She was born August 6, 1952 to Kenneth Leroy and Rosa Lee Osborn Holland in Stanley, Kansas.
Terry lived in Stanley, Kansas until she moved to Butler when she was 10 years old and lived the rest of her life. She married Charles Wilson Morris on December 18, 1976. To this union two sons were born, Chad Wilson Morris in May of 1978 and then Brad LeeRoy Morris in July of 1980. Terry worked for Bates County Memorial Hospital for 44 years prior to retiring to spend more time with family. After retirement in 2019, her first trip was back to the ocean in Orange Beach, Alabama and then had several trips with her sisters.
Terry was a very loving, caring person who would do anything for anyone, especially her family. She loved going fishing with her boys while they were growing up.
Terry is survived by her husband, Charles Morris of Butler, Missouri; a son, Chad Morris and wife Sheralyn of Belton, Missouri; three grandsons, Caleb Morris and wife Hannah of Butler, Missouri, Lucas Wade of Belton, Missouri and Braden Morris and significant other Amyiah all of Belton, Missouri; a granddaughter, Makayla Morris of Belton, Missouri; a great-granddaughter, Henslee Morris of Belton, Missouri; a brother, Mike Holland and wife Jackie of Lee's Summit, Missouri; and two sisters, Vickie Richmond and husband Ike of Nevada, Missouri and Twila Holland of Kansas City, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Brad Morris.
