Terry Mutton

Terry Mutton, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away, on Sunday, December 22, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and selflessness.
Terry's greatest joy in life was his family. He was the beloved husband of Sharon, a proud father to Mark & wife Tanya, and a devoted grandpa to Riley and Reese, who were the light of his life. He was always present, whether it was being the first in line to pick up Riley from school or playing an active game of hide and seek with Reese, or taking an active interest in every activity his son and grandchildren pursued. His love was steadfast, his support unwavering, and his presence a constant source of comfort.
As a father, Terry was not only Mark's biggest supporter but also his hockey coach, guiding him on the rink and in life. He left an indelible mark on the youth of Peoria, sharing his wisdom, energy, and passion for the game. He was more than a coach-he was a mentor who cared deeply about those he led.
Terry's life was also filled with other passions. He was a world champion soft-tip dart player, a man who found peace in nature, and a man who valued the simple joys of life. Yet, above all, his heart always belonged to his family.
Terry's love, strength, and generosity will be dearly missed but forever remembered. He leaves behind a legacy of selflessness, devotion, and kindness that will live on in the hearts of his family and all those who were fortunate to know him.
In an example of his devotion, he retired from Kreiling roofing after over 40 years of employment.
A visitation will be held to honor Terry's life and his immeasurable impact on those who knew him at Wright & Salmon Mortuary on Friday December 27, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM with a private service for family after. Pastor Rick Goettsche will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials in Terry's memory be made to the Peoria Youth Hockey Association or St. Jude’s Midwest Affiliate.
