Terry Edward Paddison

Terry Edward Paddison, age 75, of Cheboygan, Michigan, died at his home on October 13, 2025. He was born on October 23, 1949, in Toronto, Ontario, to Pat and Helen (Courtney) Paddison.
Terry grew up in Toronto, where he owned and operated a sheet metal business for some years. While skiing with friends, he met the love of his life, Berit Lilian Robert. They married in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, and built a life together. Over the years, they lived and worked in many places, including Brampton, Ontario; London, England; New York, NY; and finally settled in Cheboygan, Michigan, where Terry enjoyed his retirement.
Terry was a true social butterfly who made friends wherever he went. His joyful spirit and zest for life were felt by all who knew him. He was a proud prior member of the Kiwanis Club and current member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles (FOE).
Terry's hobbies, past and present, reflected his adventurous and hands-on nature. He loved golfing with friends, making maple syrup, running and participating in horseshoe tournaments, skiing, and especially sailing.
Terry is survived by his beloved wife, Berit Lilian Paddison; daughter, Anita (Terry) Cowart of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan; grandchild, David Robert; sister, Denise Jones; niece, Laura (Darcy) Maudsley; and nephew, Derek (Kylee) Jones and their children, Kaia, and Isabel.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Pat (Howard Edward) and Helen Paddison; brother-in-law, Bob Jones; and niece, Leila.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM, at Family Life Funeral Homes, 4951 S. M-129, Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan 49783. The Memorial Service will follow at 1:30 PM.
