Mr. Terry Pierce, age 60 of Henderson, died Friday evening, February 16, 2024 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
Terry was born in Nashville, TN, March 10, 1963, son of the late Norman and Peggy Ann Moore Pierce. He grew up in Pinson, TN.
He became a truck driver by the age of 18 and drove his entire adult career spanning 40 plus years. He most recently drove a dump truck for Aloha Pools and Spas in Jackson, retiring in December of 2020 due to health reasons.
He married Vivian Stringfellow on January 1, 1994 and they spent their 30 years together living in the Chickasaw area of Chester County, TN.
He enjoyed gardening and working on 18 wheelers. He loved his family and also his dog and constant companion, Callie, a pit bull.
He is survived by his wife Vivian of Henderson; two sons Ryan Pierce of Lexington and Brad Huffman (fiancee Sarah Young) of Henderson; his mother-in-law Alice Bristol of Henderson; two brothers Norman Pierce of Pinson and Alan Pierce of Dresden; a sister Katherine Pierce of Milan; three grandchildren Taryn Baileigh Huffman, Kobe Lane Huffman, Emmalyn Haisley Pierce and one great grandchild on the way.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Monday February 19, 2024, at Shackelford Funeral Directors - Crook Avenue Chapel with Pastor Mike Kelley officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Lexington.
The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM service time on Monday.
