Terry William Pletcher

Terry William Pletcher, age 84, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on February 8th, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones.

Terry was born on November 17th, 1941, in Columbus, Ohio to Paul and Jane Pletcher. He grew up in Upper Arlington and was a graduate of Upper Arlington High School, class of 1960. He was an entrepreneur & jack of all trades who most recently spent his retirement working with Columbus Micro. and Specialty Printing and Processing. Terry also worked many years for the Board of Elections-he would encourage all reading this to get out and vote!

He was an avid reader who was intellectually curious until the very end. Terry didn't know a stranger and welcomed and accepted people no matter their background. He enjoyed traveling and experiencing a variety of cultures, making many friends during the way.

Terry is survived by his daughter, Wendy Pletcher; brother-in-law, Marshal Martin; son-in-law, Gary Cuckler; grandchildren, Maggie Hines, Jessica Smith (Devon), Alec Cuckler (Elizabeth) and Ayden Cuckler; as well as great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends, including Behrouz Kawarizadeh and Frank Shreck.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Barbara; daughter, Terri Lyn Cuckler; as well as his faithful dog, Lila.

Terry was a loving family man who always put his family first, spending many nights and weekends at dance competitions or baseball games. He will be deeply missed by those who loved him.

A visitation will take place on Sunday, February 15th from 1:00PM – 3:00PM at Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home, 650 W Waterloo St., Canal Winchester, OH 43110 with services to follow at 3:00PM at the funeral home. The family invites all who knew Terry to attend and share memories.
