Terry Jay Pocock, 74, of Rockford, MI, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on November 12, 2025, due to health complications. Born on March 12, 1951, in Flint, Michigan, he was a devoted husband to Janice, loving father to Shannon and Shawn and devoted grandfather to Story. Nothing put a bigger smile on his face than his great-grandchildren Knoxtyn and Oakley.

Terry was hard-working and dedicated. He spent 48 years working as a mechanical engineer in the Tool and Die industry, where he was known for his detail-oriented, no-nonsense attitude. Despite his many responsibilities, he always made time for his family and his projects. He was a man of integrity, frankness and generosity, and he left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Janice (Mastaj) Pocock, children Shannon (Matt) Wetters, and Shawn (Shalee) Pocock, grand daughter Story (Kendall) Goodell, great-grandchildren Knoxtyn and Oakley Goodell and brother E. Allen (Sylvia) Pocock, as well as many friends and extended family members who will miss him dearly.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents Edmund and Roberta (Anderson) Pocock, his sister Dianne Strickland and his sister Robin Phillips.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to Wounded Warrior Project or Tunnel-to-Towers Project.

We find comfort in knowing that Terry’s legacy lives on through the lessons he taught us, the love he shared, and the memories we will cherish forever.
