Terry Lynn Rhew

June 16, 1972 until March 22, 2026

Terry Lynn Rhew, 53, of Rogers, Arkansas, passed away on Sunday March 22, 2026 at his home. He was born on June 16, 1972, in Newport, Arkansas, and grew up in Rogers, where he built a life rooted in family, faith, and the passions that defined him.
Terry was a member of First Baptist Church Rogers – Olive Street Campus.
Terry was a graduate of the University of Arkansas. From a young age, he was captivated by all things aviation. That childhood dream grew into a remarkable career, and he went on to become a commercial airline pilot for American Airlines. His goal of becoming a Boeing 737 captain was a source of inspiration for him throughout his life, and aviation remained his greatest passion.
When he wasn't in the air, Terry found joy in the simple and meaningful moments. He enjoyed river fishing, family travels, exploring back roads on his motorcycle, and music. He was an excellent saxophone player and had recently taken up guitar.
Above all, Terry cherished his family. He especially loved watching his two sons grow into their careers, and he was immensely proud of the men they have become.
Terry is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Thuy Rhew of the home; his sons Thompson Rhew of Boise, Idaho, and TJ Rhew of Rogers; his mother Vicki Estes of Huntsville; his step-mother Debbie Rhew of Dixon, MO; his brother Michael Rhew and his sister Jennifer Stroud, both of Huntsville; his step-sister Penny Brunkhorst (Jeff) of Rolla, MO; and many nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends who will hold his memory close.
He is preceded in death by his father, Paul Rhew; his grandparents Alfred and Nadine Skaggs and John and Julia Lurece Rhew; and his brother in law Tim Stroud.
A celebration of Terry's life will be held at a later date, and details will be shared with family and friends when arrangements are complete.
Terry's legacy lives on in the lives he touched-with kindness, humor, wit, dedication, and unwavering love. His presence will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
