Terry W. Scholl, age 77, passed away February 16, 2026 at Madonna Towers in Rochester, MN.

Terry was born June 23, 1948 in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, and grew up swimming, building boats, boating, and fishing along the Susquehanna River with his six siblings, Walt, Rose, George, Gary, Al, and Abby. As a high school student, he enrolled in a vocational program for electricians. Upon graduation from high school, he enlisted in the Navy; he served as an Electrician's Mate Third Class from 1968-1972 and completed deployments on the U.S.S. Boxer and U.S.S. John F. Kennedy.

During this time, he met the girl of his dreams, Pat, whom he married in Chicago in October of 1969. They resided in Norfolk, Virginia, for the duration of his military service, where he says "(we) lived our best lives ever." In their free time, they spent a lot of time walking along the beach and feeding the ducks at Gardens by the Sea. Under a special Navy plan in which military wives could join their husbands for a week overseas, they met up in Greece, a place holding many fond memories for them.

Upon completion of his military service in 1972, Terry and Pat moved to Omaha, Nebraska, to be closer to family and for employment opportunities. A year later they welcomed daughter, Joanna. Daughter Karen arrived a couple of years later, and a few years afterwards, son Steve was born.

Terry's first job at Control Data as an electrician was one of the best places he ever worked. He was especially proud of his work as an automation engineer. His career also included starting Scholl Electrical Services with wife, Pat, who worked as an apprentice and bookkeeper, and working at Hoffman Electric and at the City of Omaha Planning Department as Chief Electrical Inspector.

After he retired, he and Pat relocated to Camdenton, Missouri, which is situated in the Lake of the Ozarks region. During their ten years in Missouri, they enjoyed their time fishing, boating, walking their dog, Murphy, and spending time with their friends in their close knit community.

Throughout his life, he enjoyed tinkering in his workshops; playing with his remote control cars/boats; building wooden boats, decorations, and other gadgets; fixing anything that was broken, and generously sharing his skills and expertise to help others.

For medical reasons and to be closer to friends and family, they returned to Omaha. They moved to Rochester, Minnesota, so Terry could continue to undergo treatment for lung cancer. Even while undergoing cancer treatment, Terry kept busy for as long as he possibly could.

He is survived by his wife, Pat, and children Joanna (Mark), Karen (Ken), and Steve (Susan); five grandchildren, Lauren, Luke, Peter, Delaney, and Reese, and one great-grandchild, Alessio. He was preceded in death by his parents Josephine and Walter and brother, George Scholl.

A memorial service will be held in Omaha, Nebraska, at a later date.
