Obituary of Terry Seaton
Terry Seaton, 76, of Bloomington, MN, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2025, after a long battle with his health.
Above all, Terry's legacy lives on through his three daughters, Jilayna (Davis) Arcoren, Liana Fredrickson, and Ashlee Seaton, who stood by his side as he transitioned from this world. Though his love was not always outwardly expressed, they remained a constant presence in his life, demonstrating the depth of their own love, resilience, and strength.
In addition to his 3 daughters, Terry leaves behind 12 grandchildren-Gracee, Brayden, Ellie, Kailia, Ian, Dakotah, Tristan, Evelyn, Liam, Dominic, Jamison, and AJ, who carry forward his story in their own ways.
Terry was born in Minneapolis, MN on January 3, 1949, to Paul Edward Seaton and Audrey Mae (Baker). Terry is preceded in death by his parents, and his siblings, Judy Novacek and Tim Seaton. He is survived by his brothers, Tom Seaton, Todd Seaton, and Mark Seaton.
Terry earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Minnesota State University, Mankato, in 1975. He spent years in sales and retail management before transitioning to property management in 1984. Over the next 13 years, he managed various housing properties in the Twin Cities. In 1997, he joined the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency, dedicating 17 years to helping low-income families secure housing. During this time, he also worked as an evening activities supervisor for ISD 196, earning recognition as "Supervisor of the Year" before retiring from both professions in 2014.
Terry was a lifelong sports fan and rarely missed a game on TV. He had a deep enthusiasm for cars, a love for fishing, and a knack for storytelling, always eager to share details of his life and health with anyone willing to listen.
Terry's story continues through his daughters and grandchildren, who exemplify the true strength of family. In honoring Terry's wishes, there will be no funeral services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to his children.
