Funeral services for Terry Keith Shipley age 62, will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at the Chapel of Riser Funeral Home with Bro. Chris Gainous officiating. Interment at Welcome Home Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Riser from 10:00 AM until time of service at 2:00. Terry Keith Shipley was born in Gretna, LA on March 15, 1960, to the union of his parents, Raymond Leon Shipley and Lila Mae Richey Shipley, and he passed away to his heavenly home at Rapides Regional Hospital on October 31, 2022, after a brief illness. Keith was a amazing person. He was not only Billie Jean's best friend, and the love of her life, he was also the glue that held the family together throughout anything they faced. He was a strong, religious man, and a devoted son, husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend. He was definitely a daddy's boy and valued the things he taught him. Keith loved his grandkids, fishing, and his job as a engineer on the tow boat. He was a good cook, even though his family said he didn't enjoy it. Keith loved to build a good fire, and listen to music.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Gary Shipley; grandson, Hank Laston McKee. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Billie Jean Shipley; his children, Mindy McKee (Mike), Patrick Shipley, Aaron Saul (Janey), Tyler Smith (Kirsten), Zach Smith (Melissa), Elizabeth Shipley, and Raeann Ford (Clayton); grandkids, Rane McKee, Emma Smith, Faith Smith, Kinsley Smith, and Lila Mae McKee; brothers and sisters, Connie Perrin (Daniel), Darren Shipley (Barbara), and Rhonda Johnson (Leslie); and one sister-in-law, Darlene Shipley. Pallbearers include Hunter Johnson, Wyatt Johnson, Seth Perrin, Jake Keen, Rance Shipley, and Chris Graham. Honorary pallbearers are Jeff Ainsworth, Curtis Richey, and Clyde Young.
