Terry Wayne "Bacon" Sims, 70, of Scottsville, KY passed away Thursday, February 12, 2026 at the Medical Center at Bowling Green. The Scottsville, KY native was a retired mail carrier for Scottsville U.S. Post Office, former employee of DESA and Detrex and was an avid hunter, fisherman and enjoyed playing pool with his buddies. Terry killed the first Boone and Crockett deer in Allen County in 1979. He was a son of the late Allen Loyd Sims and Bobbie Sue Meador Sims.

He is survived by his wife: Brenda Carol Wood, Holland, KY;

1 sister: Nelda Jane Sims, Bowling Green, KY;

1 aunt: Shirley Meador, Scottsville, KY and several cousins and many friends.

A celebration of life will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Maxie McGuffey and Bro. Gary Sullivan officiating and burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday and after 7:00 A.M. Wednesday until funeral time.
