Terry Smith Obituary
Terry was born in Macon County to the late Jewel and Louise Woody Smith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Judy Wyatt.
He served his country in the U.S. Army for over 20 years. When he was stationed in Italy he played on an Italian football team. He worked for the Macon County Sheriff's Department around 14 years before retiring. Terry loved to ride motorcycles and went out west every year to Sturgis for the rally. He was an avid hunter and fisherman; deep sea fishing was one of his favorite types of fishing. He liked watching football, but most of all he loved his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his sons, Colton Smith, Casey Charles Smith and Tyler Smith; grandchildren, Gage, Cayden, Evelyn, Rylee, Alana, Amaya, Ayden, Malaki and Demetrius; siblings, Pam (Steve) Ledford, Bill Smith, Jackie (Larry) Beck, Lytha (Billy) Hughes, Juanita Baker and Linda Henry; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends Friday, June 6, from 10-11 a.m., at Macon Funeral Home, with service following at 11 a.m. Reverend Mark Bishop will officiate. Burial will follow in the family cemetery. American Legion Post #108 and VFW Post #7399 will conduct military rites.
