Terry Floyd Smith

Terry Floyd Smith, age 73, of Cordova, Tennessee, passed away on October 29, 2025. He was born on February 1, 1952, in Memphis, TN. Terry was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Terry graduated from White Station High School in 1972. He worked with State Farm before pursuing his passion for automobiles and opening his own business, Gordon's Autobody, located on historic Beale Street. He was a longtime member of St. Francis Assisi Catholic Church and an active member of the Knights of Columbus. Terry was also a member of the Memphis Street Tiques Car Club, proudly showing his 1935 Plymouth at car shows for more than 30 years.
A talented and dedicated sportsman, Terry played fast-pitch softball for many years, leading his team to two national championships and earning his place in the Memphis Sports Hall of Fame. He also loved bowling, playing horseshoes, and spending time on the golf course. His enthusiasm for competition and camaraderie brought joy to his life and to everyone around him.
Terry is survived by his devoted wife, Marjorie Farrell Smith; his son, Spencer Farrell Smith (Olivia); and his brothers, Dale Smith (Janice) and Ronni Smith. He leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, all of whom he cherished. He is preceded in death by his brother, Barbee Smith, and his sister, Nancy Hubbard.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 2, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Memorial Park Funeral Home with a rosary service at 6:30 PM.
A Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, November 3, at 10:00 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, with burial to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Terry will be remembered for his kind spirit, lively humor, passion for life, and the love he held for his family and friends. His legacy lives on in the stories shared and the memories held close by those who were fortunate to know him.
