Died: December 21, 2023 in Peoria, IL
Terry L. Turner, 81, of Peru, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2023 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, December 28, 2023 at the Mueller Funeral Home, Peru with Rev. Alex Garncarz, pastor of Zion United Church of Christ, Peru officiating. Burial will follow in St. Vincent's Cemetery, LaSalle. Visitation will be 10:00 AM until the time of services Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Turner was born December 27, 1941 in Peru to Alfred and Helen (Gress) Turner. He graduated from LaSalle-Peru Township High School and attended a four year program for tool and die making through Westclox. He married Mary F. Klopenik on December 31, 1977 in Granville. Mr. Turner enjoyed fishing, gardening, and playing Euchre. He was a tool and die maker at Westclox until they closed.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; two sons, Timothy (Shayna) Foley of Bartlett and Terry A. (Debra) Turner Jr. of Tonica; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Harry, Richard, and Butch Turner; and two sisters, Norma Ajster and Doris Mellen.
Memorials may be directed to Zion United Church of Christ.
