Terry Arthur Waite was born on December 31, 1947, in Council Bluffs, Iowa to parents Glenn and Betty June (Robertson) Waite. He graduated from Woodbine High School in 1966. Terry started working at the Harrison County REC in the service department and then moved to boom truck operator. Terry retired from Harrison County REC after 41 years of service. After retirement he enjoyed farming with his brother Ken. Terry was united in marriage to Connie Collins on June 12, 1970, at the United Methodist Church in Woodbine. The couple has lived all of their married life in Woodbine.
Terry loved to hunt, fish and just be outdoors. Terry and Connie camped for many years. He loved family vacations and family celebrations.
Terry died peacefully, with Connie by his side, on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at his home just outside of Woodbine at the age of 76 years, nine months and nine days.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents and a son Chris Waite. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Connie Waite of Woodbine; one son, Ryan Waite and his wife Michelle of Salix, Iowa; grandchildren; great grandchildren; brother, Ken Waite and his wife Kathy of Woodbine, Iowa; nieces; nephews and other relatives and friends.
