Terry Raymond Woods, Sr., 89, of Wilson passed away Sunday, February 23, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2025, at West Nash United Methodist Church, 2200 Nash Street, Wilson. Private burial will follow. Pastor Heather Herrin Wong and Rev. William Holliday will officiate.
The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon prior to the service from 2 – 2:45 p.m. at West Nash United Methodist Church, Wilson.
Terry was an avid golf player, and a big Tarheel fan. He served his Lord faithfully and was a long-time member of West Nash United Methodist Church in Wilson. Terry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother, he was a true family man who loved them all. He will be dearly missed and thought of often with wonderful memories.
Terry is survived by his loving wife, Sue Woods; son, Terry Woods, Jr. and husband, Allen; daughter, Cathy Roberson and husband, Smith; grandchildren, Elizabeth Woods, Hasler Roberson, Hoke Roberson, Bailee Hayes, Kelsey Miller and wife, Amber, Channing Smith and husband, David, and Devon Duffer; six great-grandchildren; brother, Pat Woods and wife, Alice; sister, Carol Ribet and Sidney Hollifield and husband, Clay; Jodie Tieman Jones, who became like a daughter to Sue and Terry, and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Nettie Woods; sister, Bobbye Faye Hughes and husband, Ray; brother-in-law, Richard Ribet.
