Terry Franklin Woody, 59, of Marion, passed away Sunday, May 4, 2025 surrounded by his loving family after a lengthy battle with cancer.
He was born in Marion on July 19, 1965 to Joyce Hughes Woody and the late Franklin Dee Woody.
Terry was known as a hard worker, and he was self-employed in the construction business his whole life. He was a member of Montford Cove Baptist Church and most recently attended Zion Hill Baptist Church. Terry was also a member of the Sugar Hill Montford Cove Fire Department. He formerly drove race cars and held a lifelong passion for classic cars and racing. It did Terry’s heart good to help the less fortunate. More than anything, he loved his family and will be greatly missed.

The family will receive friends on Monday, May 12, 2025 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at Beam Funeral Service. The funeral service will begin at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor David Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in the family cemetery.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Sierra Woody, April Woody, and Hannah Woody for the excellent care they gave him in his battle with cancer.
