Terry Lee Young

Terry Lee Young, 72, of Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away on Friday, December 5, 2025, at Cyprus Grove Rehabilitation Center in Newburgh, Indiana with his loving family by his side. He was born on June 14, 1953, in Mount Carmel, the son of Marion and Rita (Daly) Young. Terry married Maria Oliver on November 16, 1978, and together they enjoyed forty-seven years of marriage centered on their family.
Terry will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who cherished every moment spent with his family. He faithfully served his Country in the United States Army and carried that same dedication into his career, working more than forty-five years as a machinist for Pacific Press and Shear before his retirement. When able, he found joy in the outdoors, especially jogging and taking long walks. Terry also enjoyed woodworking. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Terry will be remembered by his loving wife, Maria Young; two daughters, Tiffiny Young and Brittany (Stewart) Jonkers; three grandchildren, Phoenix Young, Ava and Violet Jonkers; two brothers, Mike (Shannon) Young, and Greg Young; four sisters, Vickie (Ralph) Buescher, Susie (Bill) Brower, Sharon McCord, and Pam (Phil) Desjardins; many loved nieces, nephews and cousins.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Denny Young.
In keeping with Terry's wishes, no public services will be held.
