Thaddeus Lee "Ted" Koniuszy, a beloved resident of Troy, IL, was born on April 9, 1947, in Joliet, IL. He passed peacefully on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Illinois.
Ted was an U.S. Air Force Veteran proudly serving during the Viet Nam war. Stateside, he worked 20 years as a salesman for Ford, earning top honors for sales. Later he retired from Enterprise Car Rental where he excelled in customer service and assisted with training techniques. His loves were his family, friends and neighbors. Ted enjoyed fishing, cards, board games and above all, sharing his garden with the neighborhood.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thaddeus P. and Dolores M. (Stadler) Koniuszy.
Ted is survived by his wife of 55 years, Cheryl (Kinney) Koniuszy of Troy, IL; daughter, Jennifer Holtgrewe, her husband Alan, grandchildren, Katelyn and Emily Holtgrewe of Troy, IL.; cousin, Sandra Harney; 2nd cousin, Brenda Harney; and many longtime friends and fishing buddies.
