Thaddeus Sepelyak

Thaddeus Sepelyak, age 43, of Verona, PA., also known as Thad, passed away unexpectedly and far too soon at his home on the evening of July 24, 2025. He is the beloved son of Janet Leigh Sepelyak, who was there at the house with Thad when he quietly was called to the arms of our Lord in heaven, and the beloved grandson of Martha Sepelyak. Thad was the proud father of Lucas and Julien Sepelyak. He was the son of the late Jay Allen Duschl who proudly served in Vietnam in '68 and '69. He was also the brother to his eldest brother and sister Eric Seko and Sharon Seko, the late Leigh Ann Sepelyak and the older brother of the late Al Sepelyak. He was the beloved older brother of Edward and Carol Hedderman (Gage) and baby sister Mary Hedderman (Sepelyak). He was also the proud uncle of Allen Seko, Jacob, Julie and Chance Butts, Regina Leighann Gage and Kaden Dawson (Tim) and others. Thad was dedicated to his family and he enjoyed following his sons' educational careers, Motocross and racing activities and he also enjoyed quad riding himself and spending time with his friends. He dreamed of being the owner of a skate shop. He was a loving and supportive Uncle who was patient and would lend a caring and non judgmental ear no matter what he was doing. Thad was considered a genius from early on, with an IQ of 165 and in school he was an honor student. He didn't graduate with his classmates due to some childhood difficulties, but he saw his education through and graduated despite the odds, having emancipated himself at the age of 16. He stood by his siblings and his love, support and loyalty to his family remained unwavering and endured through his personal struggles, against all odds. He was endeared to and loved immensely by his family and his friends and he will be sorely missed. His laugh was infectious, so genuine and unique and will be missed by those who got to spend time with him and know him. He will be missed by anyone that had the pleasure of knowing him with his genuine and laid back, yet loyal and honest nature. A private service will be held in honor of Thad's life on Saturday, August 2nd at the American Legion Post 980 in Plum, PA.
