Thelma’s life began August 19, 1937, in Marion, KS. She was the daughter of Alvin W.
and Verna Belle (Bass) Loveless. Thelma was a 1955 graduate of Lincolnville High
School, and went on to beautician school in Wichita. She met Harold W. Ulmer at a
dance in Marion in 1957, and they were married September 21, 1958. Harold passed
away July 16, 1986. Thelma married Robert L. Green on May 10, 1989, and he
preceded her in death on August 15, 2008. She was a homemaker, beautician, and a
musician. Thelma did hair in the beauty shop at Wheat State Manor for about 15 years.
Her sons had a local dance band for weddings and anniversaries, and Thelma was their
piano player. She was well known for her pepper nuts, as well as her love of cats.
Thelma also found spiritual comfort in the Andrew Wommack Ministries. She is
survived by her children Rex and Sidney Ulmer; step sons Nathaniel and Thaddeus
Green; step daughters Stacy Bell and Tracy Roth; 16 grandchildren; and six great
grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, two husbands and siblings
Bessie Loveless and Mike Loveless. Her family will gather with friends on Saturday
November 22, 2025, at 10 a.m. for her funeral service at the Federated Church in
Whitewater. She will be laid to rest in the Whitewater Cemetery. Memorial contributions
in her name may be directed to Federated Church, Whitewater Community Cats, or the
Andrew Wommack Ministries. Lamb Funeral Home, Whitewater is serving the family. A
very special mention of gratitude from Thelma’s family to the Whitewater Fire
