Thelma L. Hafferty

Thelma Louise Hafferty, 76, of Rockford, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 9, 2025. Born November 30, 1948, in St. Louis MO. Thelma worked at Chrysler for 36 years retiring in 2008. Thelma was devout Christian, who was saved at the age of 9. Faithful to the Lord her whole life, she dedicated her life to serving Jesus Christ, as a minister, and friend to all. Thelma will truly be missed by all who knew her, especially her family. She was an avid student of many subjects and loved studying the Bible.
Thelma is survived by her brothers, Lonnie Hafferty, Rodney (Margaret) Hafferty, and Richard Hafferty; nephews, Andrew (Jessica) Hafferty, and Lonn Hafferty; niece, Laura Hafferty; great-nephews, Chancellor Hafferty, Caleb Hafferty, Gabriel Hafferty; and great nieces, Ember Hafferty, and Charleigh Hafferty. She was predeceased by her mother, Eva Dean Knowlton; and brother, Steve Hafferty.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am. on Thursday, January 16, 2025 at Fred C. Olson Chapel 1001 Second Avenue Rockford, IL 61104. Visitation from 10:00 to 10:45 am prior to the service.
