Themis "Levas" Karousos

Themis "Levas" Karousos passed away peacefully on December 16, 2025, at the age of 83, surrounded by the love of his family.
He was the devoted husband of Ioanna, with whom he shared a life built on love, loyalty, and deep family values. A proud and loving father, Themis is survived by his children Dean and his wife Denise, Tina and her husband Tommy, Irene and her husband Tommy, Peter and his wife Hilda, Michael and his wife Maria, Louie, and Stella. He was a cherished grandfather to 13 grandchildren Ellie, Sophia, Joanna, Georgie, Vivian, Stelio, Demitri, Sophia, Nora, Peter Lou, Yanna and her husband Frank, Fr. Gregory and his wife Pres. Eleftheria, Stella and her husband Matt, and a beloved great-grandfather to John and Leo, all of whom brought him immense pride and joy.
Known affectionately as "Levas," Themis had a lifelong love for soccer having played professionally in Greece, and was a track and field star, excelling in the 100-meter dash and triple jump. Themis had a deep passion for the ocean and fishing, and one could find him on any given weekend pulling up lobster traps from the Long Island Sound, a smile stretching ear to ear. He found true peace and solace at his cherished summer home in Pebble Beach Farms in East Marion, where many treasured memories were made with family and friends.
A man of strength, integrity, and quiet wisdom, Themis lived his life devoted to his family and will be remembered for his warmth, generosity, and unwavering presence.
Above all, his legacy lives on through those he loved most.
