Cebula, Theodore "Ted" of
Milwaukee, Wisconsin, passed away at home August 5th, 2023 at the age of 82 years.
Ted was born December 22, 1940 in
Youngstown, Ohio to George and Helen (nee Hutira) Cebula. He was one of four children with older brother George, twin brother Tom, and younger brother Ray. He had a love for science that grew from his father, a physics teacher at Campbell Memorial High School.
Ted and his wife, Virginia (nee Flor), were married at Notre Dame Church on August 12,1972 in
New Hyde Park, New York. He worked at General Telephone for many years which brought them to
Acton, Massachusetts. In 1974, Ted joined the Science and Business department at the Milwaukee Public Library where he worked until his retirement.
In his free time, Ted loved camping, snowmobiling, and spending time with family and friends. He was very good at fixing just about anything and was always willing to help others. His greatest joy in life was having a loving wife, three wonderful children, and two special grandchildren. He also enjoyed listening to Packer and Brewer games.
Ted is survived by his wife Virginia, three children: daughter Sharon Wunschel (David Wunschel) of
Richland, Washington, son Michael Cebula of
Bayside, Wisconsin, and son Stephen Cebula of
Milwaukee, Wisconsin and two grandchildren: Jacob and Maya Wunschel of
Richland, Washington. He is also survived by brothers: George Cebula of McCarthy, Alaska, Tom Cebula (Lauretta Cebula) of
Campbell, Ohio, and Ray Cebula (Sondra Cebula) of New Wilmington, Pennsylvania, plus cherished nieces, nephews, and their families.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 12, 2023 at St. Gregory the Great Church on 60th & Oklahoma from 9:30-10:45 with Mass to follow at 11am.
