Theodore Bert Davis, age 84, peacefully passed away in his sleep on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at his home.
He was born in Nelson, PA on April 7, 1941, to the late Phillip and Wilma Owlett Davis. After graduation, he joined the United States Navy. Theodore was a 20 plus year veteran having served on the USS John F. Kennedy and the USS Lowery. He was boots on the ground in Vietnam with a Marine battalion as a medic. While in the military, Theordore had the opportunity to travel overseas with his good friend, Calvin Richardson, they toured castles, old forts, pyramids, many bistros, along with a little bull fighting. Great memories!
After Theodore's final deployment in Bremerton, Washington, he returned to New York and in 1983 received his degree in Agriculture from Alfred State University. He worked for the United States Postal Service and finally retired, in the late 90's, to Georgia. He would spend hours puttering around with his many goats, gardens, dogs, and speeding on his 4-wheeler.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Davis; sister-in-law, Kathy Davis; and sister, Charlene Davis.
Survivors include his three children, Philip Davis (Michelle) of VA, Theodore "Teddy" Davis and Teri Roloson (Ralph) both of GA; grandkids, Nycholas Davis, Tyler Davis, Rebeka Lin Chissom, Gavin Roloson (Layla McMahon), Randy Roloson (Christine Collins), Zachary Davis, and Scott Davis (Rachel); great grandchildren, Penelope Roloson, Aurora Kelley, Kyla Mae Davis, Spencer Davis and Myles Davis; younger brother, Carlton "Butch" Davis of PA; and several nieces and nephews.
Per Theodore's wishes there will be no services held and he will be cremated. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his memory to an animal shelter of one's choice.
