Theodore F. Haas, Jr. Jr.

Theodore F. Haas, Jr., 90, of Edison, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at JFK Medical Center, Edison.

Born in Burlington, he resided in Edison for 60 years. He graduated from St. Peters High School in New Brunswick.

He was a communicant of St. Francis Cathedral, Metuchen. Ted worked as a postal clerk for 37 years at the Metuchen Post Office and worked in the transportation department at JFK Medical Center for 25 years. He was a member of the APWU and the Metuchen/Edison Historical Society.

He was predeceased by his brothers John and Richard.

Surviving is his wife of 60 years, Donna Haas; children, Theodore F. Haas, III and his wife Kathy, and Mary Valin and her husband Serge; three grandchildren, Vanessa, Helena, and Maria; one brother Thomas Haas and his wife Florence, as well as several nieces and nephews.

The visitation is Monday, August 4, 2025, from 3-7pm at Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, 568 Middlesex Ave., Metuchen.

The Funeral will take place on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at 9:45 at the funeral home followed by a 10:15am Funeral Mass at St. Francis Cathedral, Metuchen. To live stream the Funeral Mass, please visit stfranciscathedral.org.

The interment will take place on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at 11:30am at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown.
