Theodore Higgins Obituary
Winchendon-Theodore L. Higgins, 85, died Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at his home.
He was the husband of the late Sandra A. (Lapoint) Higgins, who died in 2018.
Theodore was born in Winchendon on September 7, 1939, a son of the late William B. Sr. and Sylvia B. (Walkana) Higgins. He was a graduate of Tempelton High School.
He worked as a press set for New England Wooden Ware for 43 years. Theodore was a member of the US Trotting Association. He also was a Blacksmith and trained, raced, and bred horses. He served in the US Army during Vietnam.
He leaves his son, Scott Higgins with whom he lived, three brothers Bruce E. Higgins, Nelson E. Higgins, and Wayne R. Higgins.
He is also predeceased by a brother, William B. Higgins, Jr., and a sister, Joyce Higgins.
A graveside service will be held at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon, MA on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Care Central VNA, 34 Pearly Lane, Gardner, MA 01440.
