Ted graduated in 1983 from Kennedy High School. His lively personality, humor, and energy brightened every room. He was a free spirit, family-oriented, sports fanatic, and he loved the Pittsburgh Steelers!
Ted was preceded in death by his father, Theodore Mattison, his mother, Faye Lockhart Mattison, his brother, Alvin Hare, and his Grandparents, Spurgeon (Addie) Mattison and Jordan (Nannie B.) Lockhart.
He leaves to cherish his memories with his stepmother, Glenda Mattison; brothers, Lonnie (Cathy) Hare, Duane Hare, Cavelle McDonald, Neal (Cicely) Gambrell; sisters, Regina (Ronald) Dixon, Ruthena Johnson, Jeanie (Richard) Hunter; Nieces, Michelle, Trinisha, Tamika, April, Kandance, Nautica, Jennifer, Angel, Aaliyah, Faith; nephews, Jabari, Joshua, Rondrick, Rico, Jaylen, Mattison, Jordan, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
The family is at 163 Cherokee Road, Williamston, SC 29697.
The funeral service for Mr. Mattison will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 1:00 pm at New Prospect Missionary Baptist, Williamston, SC. Interment will follow at the church's cemetery.
Public Viewing: Friday, October 18, 2024, from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Unity Mortuary of Williamston.
