Theodore C. Schafebook passed away at the age of 81 in Wellspan Good Samaritan Hospital on June 2,2023. He was born on May 19, 1942 in Quentin, PA to Theodore C. Schafebook and Mildred Krout nee Eckert.
He was a graduate of Cornwall High School and Penn State University where he received an Associate Degree in civil engineering.
He served his country in the U.S. Army and was stationed at Fort Monroe , VA as a Military Policeman. Ted began his engineering career at Buell Engineering in 1962, a company which changed names several times . He stayed with the company until his retirement in 2004. Later he worked with Buell division of Fisher Klosterman doing contract work.
In his personal life, he had a zeal for gardening, working in the yard and building birdhouses and furniture. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and his beloved fur baby, Roxie.
Theodore is survived by his wife Suzanne Schafebook nee Reed, son Mark Schafebook and fiance Angie Joseph; son Steven Schafebook and spouse Tricia; daughter Kelly Fornsaglio and spouse Daniel; granddaughters Rachel Schafebook, Abigail Schafebook and Grace Fornsaglio; and grandson Dmitry Schafebook; sister in law Janice Schafebook, cousins Dennis Schafebook and Sundra Sweigert and his constant companion Roxie. He was preceded in death by his brother Bruce Schafebook.
Services will be at Christman’s Funeral Home Inc, Lebanon on June 12th with visitation at 10:30 am followed by a Memorial Service at 11:30 am where family and friends gather together to pay their respects.
Inurnment will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery following the service.
Ted will be remembered by his hard work and his love for his family. He will be deeply missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Lebanon County, 150 N. Ramona Road Myerstown PA 17067.
