Theodore J. Strojny

With heavy hearts, we share the news of Theodore (Ted) Joseph Strojny's peaceful passing on May 8th, 2025, at 76.
Born in a close-knit Pennsylvania town, Ted's life journey unfolded across the landscapes of New England, including formative years in Europe, and ultimately found its harbor in the beautiful state of Maine. Above all else, Ted cherished his family and was insatiably curious about the world around him.
A gifted writer and a dedicated teacher, Ted poured his heart into nurturing the minds and spirits of others. He approached life with a deep appreciation for well-being and found simple joy in a nourishing home-cooked meal. Ted held a profound reverence for life's unseen wonders, always seeking a deeper understanding. He enjoyed playing sports in his younger years and watching them in his later years, especially football and basketball. His love for his wife, Nancy, and his children, Drew and Amanda (Kate), was a constant source of strength and happiness. The gentle patience and kindness he extended to his beloved grandchildren truly reflected his spirit.
Ted leaves behind his devoted wife, Nancy Strojny, his children, Drew Strojny and Amanda Thibodeau, and his cherished granddaughters, Hannah Strojny, Mallory Strojny, and Zylia Thibodeau.
Ted will be lovingly remembered for his unwavering devotion to family, his boundless curiosity, and the quiet strength that defined him. His thoughtful writings and the precious memories he gifted to those he held dear will continue illuminating their lives.
