Theodore Raymond Wolnik

Theodore Raymond Wolnik of Chelmsford, MA passed away peacefully on April 21, 2023 at the age of 89.

Known as Ted by family and friends, he was the son of the late Theodore and Sophie Wolnik. Born in Lowell, MA, Ted graduated from Lowell High School and received his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Lowell Technical College, spending most of his career working for Raytheon before retiring in 1998.

He was married for 41 years to the late Helen (Szafran) Wolnik and is survived by his four children: David Wolnik and wife Tami (McKnight) of Heber, Utah, Deborah Iannuzzo of Tyngsboro, MA, Donna Simonds and husband Larry of Tyngsboro, MA and Dyan Pollock and husband Jeffery of Leominster, MA.

Affectionately called Papa, the joy of Ted's life in his later years was his grandchildren: Daniel Iannuzzo and wife Caitlyn, Melissa Iannuzo and Sarah Pollock and his great grandchildren Leo and Myles Iannuzzo. The entire family spent many vacations in Disney World, Florida, Papa's favorite treat for his children and grandchildren.

Ted enjoyed all college sports, especially UMass Lowell baseball and Duke basketball. You would find Ted every morning at one of his favorite local diners for breakfast.

Ted is also survived by his brother Raymond Wolnik, many nieces and nephews and was the brother of the late Stanley Wolnik.
