Theresa Aguilar, 71 of Dallas, Ga passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday January 8, 2025.
She was born on February 19, 1953 in Absecon, NJ and was the daughter of James and Mabel Romines.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Growing up in New Jersey, mom always shared stories of going to the boardwalk, the steel pier and the diving horses. She shared the affection of her parents with her foster sister Pat. Mom was an accomplished piano and flute player. She graduated from Pleasantville Highschool with an acceptance to Berry College in Rome Ga as a music major. Soon after she met her first love, husband and father of her 5 children Mike Camp. Mom then attended Floyd Jr College where she received her degree and license as a Registered Nurse. Mom worked in different areas of the hospital setting but finally found her knack as a labor and delivery nurse. There, mom thrived with assisting women and their doctors with bringing new life into the world. After this road ended, mom then found her second knack with Blue Cross Blue Shield as a Case Manager where she stayed until retirement. As you can see, mom had a penchant for wanting to help people. Even if it meant staying on each call a little longer to make sure her patients had what they needed.
In 2003, mom met her 2nd love, Javier. They were married for 20 years. Mom had a love for animals which showed with her “zoo” that she and Javier cared for. Her dogs Rosie, Judy, Tati and Tickle Tickle, their cats Tinkerbell and Lucy and their bird Pety. They raised chickens as well. Mom loved the beach and the mountains where she would visit often.
As with any mom, she will be more than greatly missed. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
She is survived by her 5 children, Heather Garza of Talladega, AL, Heidi Santos of Bremen GA, Jennifer Camp of Dallas Ga, James Camp of Temple Ga, and Stephanie Camp of Douglasville, Ga.
Affectionately called mom-mom, she has 8 grandchildren, Emilia, Yllora, Lindsey, Grace, Sethe, Bella, Xan, and Emmalina.
Theresa will be cremated and her remains will be shared with her children/grandchildren with a scattering at the beach and the remaining placed with her parents’ mountain graveside in Dandridge, TN.
