Theresa Buckman-Hathaway

Theresa Wideman Buckman-Hathaway, 63, of Clinton, entered into rest on October 25, 2025. She was the beloved wife of Douglas Hathaway and a devoted mother to Wesley K. Buckman. Theresa is also survived by her father Kenneth Wideman, her sister Tina Wideman, her cousin Liz Pergolotti, and Jacob Gibson, who was like a second son to her.
Theresa, affectionately known as "Terry," had a deep love for Halloween-It was her favorite holiday. Each year, she, Doug, and Wes transformed their home on Alden Drive into a festive spectacle that drew hundreds of visitors from around town. Their elaborate decorations became a cherished tradition, bringing joy to children and adults alike.
Artistic and creative by nature, Terry sold many of her crafts at local fairs and was known to create beautiful floral arrangements. A talented artist, she once gifted a portrait she had drawn of Mickey Dolenz of The Monkees to him at one of their concerts. She also worked with the Beatles cover band Apple and had many gigs as a DJ. Terry loved to perform and was known for her spot-on impersonations and lively personality. Her passion for the stage led her to participate in several local Murder Mystery Dinner Theater productions-where she met the love of her life, Doug.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, November 2nd at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green from 5 to 8 pm.
