Lee,I AM BROKENHEARTED AS YOU MUST BE WITH THE PASSING OF TC. I WAS JUST LOOKING ON LINE TO SEE IF YOU BOTH STILL LIVED IN THE KC AREA. THE LAST TIME I SAW YOU BOTH WAS IN 1987 AS I PREPARED TO GO TO WORK IN LATIN AMERICA. IT WAS SO WONDERFUL TPO SEE YOU BOTH. I HAVE NOTHING BUT HAPPY MEMORIES OF YOU AND TC. SHE WAS A RADIENT LIGHT AND BROUGHT HAPPINESS TO SO MANY PEOPLE. IN THE DAY OF THE BROTHERS OF MERCY ECF,SHE WAS FUN TO WORK WITH AND LEFT A LASTING IMPRESSION ON ALL THERE. I WILL NEVER FORGET HER JOY AND WONDERFUL SMILE AND LAUGH. I PRAY YOU ARE WELL,MASS WILL BE OFFERED TO CELEBRATE TC'S ARRIVAL IN GOD KINGDOM. Oh my! So many thoughts come to mind. You gave us "Helpful, friendly, courteous and kind." Many values and leadership traits you taught.
Theresa, Will you please "Help me to understand." "Tell me about that." just the facts. "let's continue a dialogue" and include Dr. Rand. Change your mind, "Immediately, markedly and without lapse!"
Each day you'd come in and keep it real for us. You include wit and humor in all that you do.
"Any questions? Comments? Recipes or good jokes?"
It's simple lines like these that have endeared us to you.
With the utmose respect, your example we've tried to mirror.
Though times your influence and position made us scared.
"I'am placing you on notice" is what we'd always fear.
Yet somehow we succeeded because you left us prepared.
Theresa, If you are not here to counsel and teach, Will questioning Rosa stay to guide us through?
Our own retirement day, we will someday reach.
That's good. We always wanted to grow up just like you.
Always, until we see you again!

What a blessing and joy to know and love Theresa. I was a nurse anesthetist for 42 years at CMH and she was an awesome listener and friend. I went back once to see Theresa after I retired and of course she knew me and was so kind and helpful. My sincere condolences to her wonderful husband and family, you were the light behind those eyes. I agree with what others have said about her in so many ways. My prayers are with those mourning her loss. I'm glad that I was able to call her friend.

Theresa was one of a kind. A bundle of energy, a twinkle in her eye and laughter...a lot of laughter. I appreciate working for her and knowing her as a friend. She was always warm and welcoming. I pray for comfort for Lee, Michael, Leslie, Braydon and Jax. She loved you all beyond measure.

What a remarkable woman Theresa was, and how perfect the "ball of fire and light" description of her in the obituary. It was a privilege to work closely with Theresa on many occasions and I so respected how devoted she was to doing the right thing for each employee during her years as Director of Employee Relations at Children“s Mercy. She truly listened and understood when people were going thru challenging times, and brought the "human" to HR. I learned many things from Theresa and feel blessed and grateful to have had the opportunity to work alongside of her. Her presence will be missed, as will her laughter!

So sorry to see that Theresa has passed away. I was a nurse leader at CMH and worked with her on employee issues. She knew everyone, treated everyone with respect. It was amazing to see her at the annual Holiday party at the Hyatt. She remembered kids names and was just such an energetic person. Rest in Peace Theresa.
