Theresa DeMayo Obituary
ALBANY - Theresa M. DeMayo, age 91 of Albany, entered her heavenly home on Tuesday, April 4, 2023.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Vincent F. DeMayo, and her siblings, Michael, Anthony, and Frank; and is survived by her sister, Rose Marie (Wendel) Haberl. Theresa will be lovingly remembered by her children, Diane Shier, Michael DeMayo (Poul Olson), Marianne (John) Collins; her grandchildren, Jessica Bober, Christopher Bober, Olivia Farrell, and Kayleigh Collins; and her great-granddaughter, Ellie Bober.
Theresa was born in Albany, on July 12, 1931, to the late Michael and Mary Meleca. She graduated from Cathedral Academy in 1949 and married her beloved Vincent in 1953. She enjoyed working as the "lunch lady" for 18 years at Forts Ferry Elementary School. Throughout her life, she enjoyed her many social activities with her neighbors and friends while living on Mallard Lane. She will always be remembered for her avid reading, love of card and board games, passion for Italian cooking, and her legendary apple pie. The family appreciates all of the love and support from her many friends at Columbia Crest Senior Apartment.
Funeral services will be private, at the convenience of the family.

Condolences to the family. My family remembers so many get together as neighbors. We always enjoyed having conversations and sharing stories. Theresa was a sweet kind, caring lady.

I will miss Theresa very much, she called me often to ask how my mother was doing. Then when I moved to Columbia Crest we played cards a few times a week. I really enjoyed her company and also the people here will miss her too.
