Theresa Eissinger, age 96, passed away on July 6, 2025, at her home in New Hope, MN with her family by her side. Theresa was born on March 19, 1929, at the home of her maternal grandparents Gotlieb and Marie Kuhn, in Napoleon, ND, the daughter of John and Rose (Kuhn) Meier. Theresa attended eight years of grade school in a one-room schoolhouse on the prairie and graduated from Napoleon High School with the class of 1946. She attended Valley City State Normal School, obtained a teaching license at the age of 17 years, then taught in a one-room school for four years. On June 3, 1947, she was united in marriage to Reinhold (Reiny) Eissinger. She worked for Loagan County in the Treasures Office for 28 years and completed her career working in the County Attorney's Office. Theresa enjoyed gardening, canning, embroidering and playing pinochle. She also enjoyed traveling and visited various countries in Europe during five different trips. Some of her favorite travels were Egypt and a Russian cruise from Moscow to St Petersburg. Her favorite trip was to the village of Rosental in Ukraine, formerly South Russia, where her mother was born and raised. Theresa was a member of St Philip Neri Catholic Church for many years as well as the Altar Society. She also volunteered organizing church lunches for a number of years. Family members who survived Theresa are her 2 daughters, Yvonne Marie Eissinger and Joyce Ann Eissinger (Steve Sieckert), both of Edina, MN. Theresa was preceded in death by her parents John and Rose Meier, her husband Reiny, and all siblings including 4 sisters Magdalena (Mag) Glatt, Mary Engelhardt, Katherine (Kate) Lippert, Ann Bauer, 2 brothers Joseph (Joe), Steve J and her twin brother who died in infancy. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 am on Friday, August 8, 2025, at St Philip Neri Church, Napoleon, ND. Burial at St Philip Neri cemetery.
