Theresa M. Foley

Theresa M. (Barrett) Foley, age 93 of Franklin, MA peacefully passed away on February 20, at Milford Hospital.
Theresa was born on January 16, 1932 in Everett MA and was the beloved daughter of Gerald and Marion (Power) Barrett, both of whom came to the US from Newfoundland, Canada. Theresa had many cherished memories of her childhood on Jefferson Ave in Everett, MA. She was was a graduate of Everett High School and was employed by John Hancock upon graduation.
On February 27, 1954 Theresa married the love of her life, David X. Foley and they were happily married for 59 years until his passing in 2013. After his passing she would watch for Dave's visit via the red cardinal that very frequently visited the bird feeder outside the kitchen window which overlooked the table they spent so many hours at over the years.
Theresa was happiest when spending time with family and friends. She was also a devoted Catholic and you never left her home without receiving the sign of the cross for your protection.
Theresa was the loving mother of Kathleen (Foley) DeGrandis and her late husband Donald; Denise Ficco and her husband Daniel; David X. Foley, Jr. and his wife Beverly Reid; Christine Dolph and her late husband Christopher; Theresa Mantoni and her husband John; Patricia Larsen and her husband Donald; Dianne Hagopian and her husband George.
Devoted grandmother to Diana and Danielle DeGrandis; Meghan Ficco; Michael Ficco and wife Sarah; Hannah Sopak and husband Zachary; David Reid-Foley and wife Casey; Emily Reid-Foley; Sean Reid-Foley and wife Caroline; Christopher Dolph and partner Michelle O'Harte; Natalie Dolph and husband David Gardner; Brandon Dolph and fiancée Taylor Cullen; Breah Dolph; Joseph and Daniel Mantoni; Andrew Iannitelli and wife Kathleen Head; Zachary Iannitelli; Michael Iannitelli and wife Katie; Emmanuel Correia; Tia Hagopian as well as 10 great- grandchildren, Ava Grace, Aaron, Jared, Jax, Georgia, Breckston, Reid, Grayson, Mason, Madison.
Theresa was dearly loved by her sisters and brothers, the late Katherine Hibbs and her late husband Al; the late Hilda McCarthy and her late husband John; the late Elizabeth Barrett; Jean Tammaro and her late husband John; Margaret Eliseo and her husband Joseph; the late Leo J. Barrett and his wife Kathleen; the late Gerald Barrett and his late wife Laurie. Theresa was also loved by her late cousin Leo J. Byrnes and his late wife Claire.
Theresa was also surrounded by the love of many, many nieces, nephews and friends.
Theresa you will be missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Thursday February 27th, at 10AM from the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, Franklin at 11AM.
Burial will follow at the parish cemetery.
Calling hours are Wednesday Feb. 26th, from 4-8PM.
