Theresa Marie Orrick

ORRICK, THERESA M., of Waterford, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on December 25, 2025, at 79 years of age. A lifelong resident of Waterford, Theresa lived a life rooted in creativity, hard work, and deep love for her family.

Theresa was the loving mother of Sandy (Brandon) Burton, Michael (Heather) Petherbridge, and James (Siegmar) Petherbridge; cherished grandmother of Brandon (Margaret), Justin, Gage, and Alyssia (Chris); and proud great-grandmother of Ruby, Piper, Korah, Abigail, Brooklyn, Raelynn, Dawson, and Abel. She leaves behind her precious dog, Baby, who was always by her side and the father of her children, Bob Petherbridge. Theresa is reunited in heaven with her beloved mother, Isabelle Orrick, and two precious grandbabies, Emerson and Olivia.

From an early age, Theresa dreamed of owning her own flower shop. That dream began humbly-working out of her basement, specializing in wedding décor and floral design. In 1983, she made that dream a reality when she purchased Waterford Hill Florist. With vision and determination, she remodeled the little cottage shop and built a business known for its beauty, creativity, and exceptional care. Through years of dedication, Theresa developed and maintained a stellar reputation within both the community and the florist industry, earning the respect and loyalty of countless customers.

A truly creative soul, Theresa poured her heart into everything she did. Though she worked tirelessly, she cherished what spare time she had. She loved traveling-especially memorable family trips-along with special vacations to Mexico. Simple pleasures brought her great joy, including a trip to McDonald's and an ice-cold Coke.

Theresa will be remembered as a wonderful mother, a successful business owner, and a woman whose creativity and determination turned dreams into reality. Her legacy blooms on through her family, her work, and the many lives she touched. A memorial mass will be held at St. Benedict Catholic Church, date and time to be announced.
