Theresa Thibodeaux Prejean, 90, of Baker, La, passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Born, June 21, 1935 to Eluse and Marie (Morain) Thibodeaux in Washington, Louisiana. Theresa's love of children was apparent over the many decades of babysitting, but especially the love she had for her grandchildren. She cherished family gatherings, filling tables with her delicious cooking, baking and her special way of making everyone feel loved and welcomed. She was a parishioner of St. Isidore Catholic Church and lived her faith through kindness and service to others.
Theresa is survived by her children, Huey (Rita) Comeaux, Kenny (Julie) Prejean and Ricky (Ceci) Prejean; 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Berthaline (Dennis) Garcia; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Murphy Prejean; an infant daughter, Gretchen Prejean; grandson, Josh Prejean; her Parents; brother, Huey (Barbara) Thibodeaux; and 3 sisters, Helen (Jack) Richard, Verlie (Dewey) Matt, and Josephine Prejean ( Joe) Grasso.
The family extends special thanks to Cynthia Kay Ellis for her compassionate care and support.
The visitation will be at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, LA on Monday , November 10, 2025, from 5:00 PM until the Catholic Funeral Service at 7:00 p.m. The graveside service and burial will take place Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Cedar Hill Cemetery, in Washington, Louisiana.
Pallbearers will be Chad Comeaux, Justin Comeaux , Kale Comeaux , Brock Prejean , Braxton Comeaux and Tommie Wheat II .
