Theresa Leigh Reed (64) passed away October 9, 2023, in Lubbock, TX. She was born August 31, 1959, to Donald K. and Patty L. (Bryan) Matticks, in Lubbock, TX. Theresa grew up in Lubbock and graduated from Monterey High School. She married Marcus Reed in 1984; together, they raised 3 children, Carlus, Garrett, and Madison. Theresa went on to Texas Tech University, graduating in 1994, having earned her degree in Elementary Education (P.E.). Theresa enjoyed walking, home decorating, and her grandson Wyatt Michael. She attended Trinity Church, Lubbock.
Theresa was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Patty Matticks. Those remaining to cherish her many memories are her husband, Marcus Reed, and their 3 children, Carlus and Josie Reed, Garrett and Jessica with Wyatt Michael Reed, and Madison Reed: Theresa’s siblings, Donny Matticks, Bryan Matticks, Michele Matticks, and Colette Hall.
The Reed family will honor and celebrate the life of Theresa Reed with a memorial gathering at Combest Family Funeral Home, Oak Crest Suite, 2210 Broadway, Lubbock, TX., from 4:00PM-7:00PM, Wednesday, October 18, 2023.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
