Theresa "Terri" M. Roof, 69, of Batesburg, passed away on Friday, November 29, 2024. Theresa was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Martin F. and Theresa Altomare Corcoran. She was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church and most recently attended Mt. Ebal Baptist Church. Alongside her husband, she co-owned Roof Hardware. Having a love in caring for people, Theresa earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Germantown Nursing Hospital and worked in several hospitals, including the Children's Shriners Hospital and Richland Memorial before retiring from Lexington Medical Center. She had a lifelong love of animals, but her greatest joy was her family, especially her treasured grandchildren. She cherished every moment spent with them and delighted in sharing meals together.

Surviving are her husband of 32 years, Jack S. Roof; sons, Benjamin Roof (Kassidy), Timothy Roof (Cambey), Jonathan Roof (Cassie); and beloved grandchildren, Lucas Roof, Baker Roof, Gracelynn Roof and Rhett Roof. Also surviving are her siblings, Bridget Wolverton (Michael), Charles Corcoran (Maureen), Martin Corcoran (Loretta), Michael Corcoran (Wanda), Catherin Peterson (Steven), Louise McShane (Jack) and Christopher Corcoran (Joan); along with numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service for Theresa will be held at 2 o'clock on Wednesday, December 4th at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church with burial following in Ridge Crest Memorial Park. Pastor Lisa Isenhower and Reverend Bill Paulling will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 o'clock on Tuesday, December 3rd at Milton Shealy Funeral Home.
