Theresa Weeks Seay, born on July 14, 1954, to James and Earline Weeks, passed away in her home state August 22, 2025. Theresa leaves behind a legacy marked by her unwavering commitment to her career and her deep love for her community.
For many years, Theresa thrived at Tim Parkman Insurance Company, where she not only excelled professionally but also built strong, familial relationships with her coworkers. She cherished this close bond, considering them an extended family who supported her throughout her life and career.
Theresa was an active member of Trinity Wesleyan Church, where her contributions extended far beyond mere attendance. As a board member, she devoted countless hours to the church community, particularly enjoying her time working with children. Her volunteer efforts included teaching in children's church, and caring for young ones in the nursery during Celebrate Recovery group meetings. For many years prior, she had a Sunday School Bus Ministry in Jackson. Her passion for nurturing and educating children was evident to all who knew her.
Throughout her life, Theresa embodied kindness and warmth, leaving an indelible mark on all whose lives she touched. She is survived by her best friend of 50 years and "adopted" sister, Patricia McBride of Pelahatchie; her niece, Shannon McBride of Pelahatchie; and her great niece, Brianna (Christopher) Kildare of Brandon.
Theresa is preceded in death by her parents, whose influence and love undoubtedly shaped the compassionate person she became. As we remember Theresa Weeks Seay, let us celebrate her spirit of service, her dedication to her work, and her love for her saviour, Jesus Christ, her family and friends.
