Therese Thomas Obituary
Therese May Thomas, 64 of Chicago, died Monday June 2, 2025 at Alden Village North in Chicago.
She was born August 2, 1961 in Elmhurst, Illinois the daughter of Alice (Winzenburg) and Charles Milton Thomas. She lived at Approved Homes for 18 years and the group home supervised by Search, Inc. for 28 years until last year, when she was transferred to Alden.
Terry was happy, smiling and a friend to many. She was an artist who loved doing arts and crafts as long as the projects weren't too messy and her hands were clean. She enjoyed community outings, socializing with others and experiencing new things. When she wasn't attending Lincoln center with her roommates and friends, she was easy-going and enjoyed her quiet time.
She is survived by sisters, Jacquelyn Thomas (and Steve Prinner) of Cornelia, GA and Sandra (Joseph) Webb of Palos Park, IL and brothers, Bradley Thomas of Texas and Kevin (Alyssa) Thomas of Lombard, IL and many nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Milton Thomas and Alice Bonate; and grandparents, Merrill and Annette Winzenburg.
In lieu of a memorial service, donations can be made to Search Inc. of Chicago (www.search-inc.org).
