I had a relatively brief friendship with Thomas while we both lived in the International house. I remember him very well! He was very smart, very intelligent, veyr friendly, and always holding a high outlook for his career. As a friend, he helped me alot in many ways, and I really appreciated his generous friendship. I feel sad we lost contact since 2007, and even sadder to hear his death just from yesterday. I hope he will have lots of peace in another world, and his image is always in my heart!

Being my classmate, I knew that Thomas was something special when he managed to contribute more to class discussion than me. I'm willing to contribute my "expert" opinion on anything ranging from things I know lots about, to the day's news, to my life's experiences, to things I know absolutely nothing about, so saying that he had more to contribute says a lot. Class just won't be the same without you to parry my thrust, bud.

I went to school with Deb through the Bryant, Cathedral, and Senior High years. I can't imagine how hard it is to lose a brother (let alone a son). My heart goes out to you all and my thoughts and prayers are with you.

To the Amorde Family,
I learned of Tom's death on Tuesday after playing the organ/piano for a funeral at St. Francis in Superior. I was shocked and saddened after learning of the death. Tom hadn't started living life yet! Many times I've thought of the people I know from the Accordion Ambassadors and Music Studio Plus, and through the years I've followed how Tom had continued his piano studies and how easily he progressed quickly as always. He always used his gifts and talents to nothing but move others forward in life with him. Last time I saw him was a few years ago, and that smile could not hide who he was, the most intellectual and witty individual I will remember always. You all have been and will continue to be in my prayers and thoughts. May the Lord grace your difficult days ahead. May God Bless each of you.

To Bill, Cathy, Bob and Debbie: We just received the news of Tom's passing this evening. We are shocked and saddened beyond words. Tommy was a student of mine and was truly one of kind. He had amazing talents and gifts that never ceased to surprise us. It seemed that no matter what the challenge you laid before him; he would meet it and usually exceed it. Just yesterday I was describing him and his brother to a 4th year medical student who's goal is to become an anestesioligist. I shared with her how I knew long ago that these two brothers were special. Not only smart but great people with a kind spirit and a wonderful sense of humor. I shared with her Bob's similar path, and Tom's numerous years in school to become a lawyer- I wasn't sure what area of law he was interested in, but assured her that whatever he did he would be the best. Little did I know that less than 24 hours I would be learning of this loss. We wish we could have been there to support you all during the service this evening. Our memories of Tommy are numerous and will never be forgotten. We will keep you all in our prayers and know that the Lord's mercy is great and He will guide and comfort you all the days of your lives; especially in difficult times like this. May the Lord Bless and keep you all!

It's been years since the last time I saw Tom - maybe not since he was in junior high. But even then, he always struck me as a talented, inquisitive, and genuinely nice person with an intelligence and wit beyond his years. To say that he was quite the character would only begin to tell the story. Without question, the memories of that character will live on and will be with us always. My thoughts are with your family…

I have known Tom from our days at Bryant Elementary school, to being alter boy and girl together at Holy Assumption, to High School. I know I always enjoyed and appreciated his great sense of humor during those years.
I was very saddened to hear of this tragic news. To Tom’s friends and family, I am truly sorry for the loss of such a promising young man.

Tom was startlingly bright and truly funny. His sartorial perspective was always unique and appreciated. With his devotion to knowledge and worldly cultural outlook, he would have been a model attorney. We hope for courage and comfort to his family and friends in the coming days and years.

I was stunned to hear the news about Tom. He was a good friend and classmate throughout high school. I didn't even realize we were in the same city when all of this occurred. I wish his family the best in these difficult times.

I first met Tom in junior high and recognized him right away as a talented and intelligent individual. I'll never forget some of the lively discussions we had then and throughout high school. I still have an extremely elegant and eloquently written note that he wrote to me in the eighth grade in my yearbook- he was truly an intriguing being.

I worked in a chemistry research lab with Thomas at the University of Chicago; even there he stood out as brilliant. Yet, he also had a noble heart as he often went out of his way to make sure I made it home from the lab safely. He will be greatly missed.
