Thomas Andella Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Farmer & Dee Funeral Home on Mar. 13, 2026.
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas Andella on March 9, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Tom was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was known as a hardworking man who believed in showing up, getting things done, and doing his part for the people around him. He wasn't always one for many words, but when something needed fixing, building, or figuring out, Tom was often the one quietly stepping in to help. He gave his time when it mattered and could always be counted on to lend a hand.
Born in Cambridge on October 4, 1959, Tom was the middle of seven children born to Joan M. Andella (Kilfoyle) and Fredrick J. Andella. He is survived by his siblings, Joan Laurenza (Andella), Fredrick Andella, Joseph Andella, William Andella, James Andella, and Mary Ciccarelli (Andella).
He shared 45 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Brenda Ann Andella (Teas). Together they built a life filled with partnership, laughter, and unwavering support. They raised two children, Thomas M. Andella and Amanda Andella Stearns, who were the pride of his life. In later years, nothing brought him greater joy than becoming "Papa" to his two granddaughters, Stella and Ivy Stearns. They filled his heart with happiness, and he adored them beyond measure.
Tom worked for many years as a union carpenter, earning the respect of coworkers and friends through his dedication, craftsmanship, and strong work ethic.
Outside of work, he found great joy in traveling, especially to Aruba-a place that brought him peace and happiness. Whether enjoying the sunshine, feeling the ocean breeze, or simply spending time with loved ones, those trips created memories that will be cherished forever.
Tom also had a sense of humor that showed itself in small, unforgettable ways. Anyone looking through old photographs will likely notice a familiar theme-Tom standing just behind someone with a grin, giving them a set of bunny ears. It was a simple running joke that became his signature move and still brings smiles to those who remember it.
Tom will be remembered for his strength, generosity, quiet wisdom, and the steady presence he provided to those who loved him. His legacy lives on through his wife, children, granddaughters, extended family, and the many friends and colleagues whose lives he touched.
Though he will be deeply missed, the memories he leaves behind-of his quiet kindness, steady presence, humor, and deep love for his family-will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Tom's life on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the US Cricket & Bunting A.A. Club, located at 449 Boylston St, Lowell, MA 01852
All are welcome to come together, share memories, and raise a glass in honor of a life well lived.

Tom did plaster work for my husband and I. He was so kind to us, especially as new homeowners who didn´t know what we were doing! I´m so sad to learn of his passing. May he rest in peace.
