THOMAS BARTON BARSHEFF, JR.

Thomas "Tom" Barton Barsheff, Jr., age 38, of Raymore, Missouri passed away on December 27, 2025, at the Kansas City Hospice House with his wife at his side after a long struggle with cancer.
Tom was born in Detroit, Michigan on July 3, 1987, the son of Thomas B. Barsheff, Sr. and Francine Ann Maisano Barsheff. He was raised in Bay City, Michigan, graduated from Valley Lutheran High School in 2005, and graduated with his Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems from Saginaw Valley State University in 2009. Tom married his high school sweetheart Nicole M. Hruby on October 15, 2014. Together they were blessed with five wonderful children, Matthew, Mary, Lucy, James, and Paul. Tom was a family man and a faithful Catholic. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Parish. He enjoyed working with computers, including programming and building them. He also loved gaming with his family and enjoyed target shooting and hiking. Tom lived his life for his wonderful family and will be greatly missed by all.
He is survived by his loving wife, Nicole M. Barsheff; his five children Matthew, Mary, Lucy, James, and Paul; parents Thomas Sr. and Francine Barsheff; father-in-law Nicholas Hruby (Nan); sister Tracy Rudd (Brian); brother in-law Christian Hruby (Kim); niece Addy Hruby and nephew Colton Hruby.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family c/o Nicole Barsheff.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church 1800 MO-150, Lee's Summit, MO 64082. Visitation will be from 1-2:00 p.m. followed by the Mass at 2:00 p.m.
