Thomas "Tim" Beesley

Thomas "Tim" Beesley, 76, of Killingworth, CT (formerly of East Haven, CT), passed away peacefully on November 21, 2025, with his family by his side. He was born on October 26, 1949, in New Haven, CT, to Thomas and Glenna Beesley.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Susan, and their four daughters: Kelli Dease of Canton, CT; Lauren Lombard of Milton, MA; Kim Beesley, of "wherever the wind takes her"; and Katie Cassidy of Clinton, CT. He is also survived by six grandchildren, his sister, Bonnie Meeker of Newport Richey, FL, and his dear, lifelong friend, Jayne Kubek of East Haven, CT.

Tim proudly served 30 years with the New Haven Fire Department. After retiring, he found great fulfillment as a driving instructor in East Haven and Avon. Tim also loved aviation and earned his pilot's license in the early 1980s. A highlight of his flying experience was getting to fly a Cirrus jet in 2023 - a pipe dream come true.

Tim had an avid appreciation for music and songwriting. His vast and carefully curated album collection (alphabetized, of course) was always on display at home. There was rarely a day in his life when he was not listening to music. He was both handy and humorous; he could build or fix almost anything (with the aid of expletives) and found the funny in nearly everything. "Beesley World" was among his greatest creations, a place that welcomed, entertained, and connected family and friends for nearly 30 years.

Above all, Tim was a devoted family man. He was immensely proud of his daughters, cherished time spent with his grandchildren, and adored his dog, Pete. He would have been deeply touched by the outpouring of love and generosity extended to his family in his honor and following his passing.
