Thomas Beger Obituary

Published by Legacy on Oct. 10, 2024.
Thomas Arthur Beger, a longtime resident of Clinton Township, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at the age of 89. He was born on August 2, 1935, in Detroit, Michigan, to Arthur and Leona Beger.
Thomas earned his master's degree from Eastern Michigan University and dedicated his career to education. For over 30 years, he inspired young minds as a 6th-grade teacher at Carlson Elementary with Van Dyke Public Schools.
In his free time, Thomas participated in a bowling league and took golf trips with friends. One of his greatest delights was watching his grandsons play hockey. Thomas cherished the moments spent with loved ones, whether playing cards or cooking dinner for his family. He also enjoyed watching action movies and sharing his sense of humor with others.
Loving father of Karen (Glenn) Wallace, Jill Beger, and Steve (Cheryal) Beger. Cherished grandfather of Elizabeth (Jeff) Ball, Nick Wallace, Michael Beger, and Jacob Beger. Treasured great-grandfather of Aubrey and Harper Ball. Dear brother of Nancy (the late Tom) Newman.
Inurnment at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East in Clinton Township, MI.

Tom was a great teacher, colleague and friend when I met him in 1975. All the great end of the year Tigers games with the crew, Superbowl Sundays and the yearly golf outings down South to the Poorman Tournament Up North. You don't have many friends left like that any more. May you hit them long and straight.
